  • What interest rate does Sotiwa charge?
  • Interest rate is a function of so many factors including the borrower credit score, loan repayment history and tax compliance. Sotiwa does not charge any arrangement fees or any other hidden charges. Currently, we are charging an interest rate of 20% per month on a reducing balance.
  • How fast will my loan size grow?
  • Growth of loan size entirely depends on how frequently you borrow and repay back.
  • How do I change my account details?
  • To edit account details or reset PIN, call or text 0728221717.
  • Why is my sim unsupported?
  • This may be due to network error. To correct this hitch remove other lines from your handset, switch it off, replace the line back and then try the process again.
  • Can I change my National ID after receiving a loan?
  • At SOTIWA data accuracy and integrity is heftily valued, so a client cannot change an ID number that has been used to process a successful loan.

  • How do I repay Sotiwa loan?
  • To repay the loan, send the money via the pay bill number, 568666, and insert your phone number as the account number.

  • Contact our office number 0728221717 or email at statements@sotiwa.co.ke, for the outstanding balances and loan due date.
  • Can I pay my loan early than it is scheduled?
  • Yes. You can pay earlier than scheduled and borrow again. We encourage you to follow the slated repayment schedule in order to grow you loan limit.
  • What happens in case I overpay my loan?
  • In such a case the excess amount is moved to your mobile wallet on your Sotiwa account which you can access anytime.
  • What will happen if I miss my installments?
  • You stand to reduce you loan limit and the risk of being listed with CRB thus soiling your credit score.
  • Can I ask to make late payments?
  • We strictly follow the payments schedules as slated, however in cases where clients are not able to honor the schedules, they can start making partial payments.
  • What is Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)?
  • This is the body authorized by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) to collect credit information, collate and provide such information to authorized users. For example, the loan lending institutions.
  • What should I do after paying my defaulted loan?
  • Kindly contact CRB after a period of two weeks to confirm whether your name has been unlisted.
